In some versions of Dojoji the snake spirit of the second part first appears draped in a light silk kimono after emerging from beneath the temple bell where the costume change has taken place. This delays the moment of revelation until the character raises the kimono and 'becomes' the demon. Here the red and gold costume are reflected in a 'red' Hannya mask.
